Founder and Executive Director
Felicia is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the organization, ensuring that resources are utilized to the consistent achievement of Brighter Tanzania's mission. Felicia also works closely with Grace, overseeing expenditures and progress in the school. A resident of Wisconsin, she holds a bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Sydney is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing and fundraising strategies which are both cost-effective and time-efficient. This includes overseeing fundraising and implementing new fundraising strategies. Sydney received a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Birmingham-Southern College. While in college, she traveled to Uganda to teach English; participated in the Global Peace Exchange through an internship; and later became a Global Peace Exchange Regional Manager. More recently, she was honored with membership into the National Society for Leadership and Success for her contributions to homelessness and poverty.
Grace Silas Laizer
Founder and Director of Instructional Services
Grace is a native of Arusha, Tanzania. She has been teaching since 2008, working primarily with students in grade 1 at Arusha Integrated School. Grace is responsible for the development of short and long term plans for the school, and currently serves as a community outreach liason to recruit students for the school.
